The Everygirl
This website has everything from fashion tips to career advice. The career and finance portion of the website focuses on categories like career profiles, finance, Heard on The Everygirl, and life and work skills. I love the Heard on The Everygirl category because it provides inspirational quotes that are “heard” on The Everygirl website from their featured career women. The Everygirl also has a job board, which lists jobs you wouldn’t find on regular job board sites like Careerbuilder. This is definitely one of my top websites to browse.
Women For Hire
In 1999 Women For Hire was founded as a strictly business focused website for women by Tory Johnson, a six time author on business and life topics. I love this website because it has such great business resources whether you’re trying to get career advice or search a job board. Women For Hire also gets brownie points for writing an article on negotiating your salary, which is a usually a problem for women.
Ms. Career Girl
“Love your career. Love your life. No more excuses.” That is the first phrase you see on the right side when you pull up Ms. Career Girl and I just fell in love with it! Ms. Career Girl was started in 2008 by Nicole Emerick “to help young professional women find love in their work.” It provides career confessions, advice on side hustle (projects outside of your job), dating tips, and interviews of successful career women like Melinda Emerson founder of the marketing consulting firm, Quintessence Group. Overall, a great website for young professional women!
That Working Girl
I just started browsing this blog the other day and found it to be quite inspiring! Lindsay Shoemake, an expert in personal branding, founded That Working Girl in 2012 to empower millennial women in the media and public relations business. The blog posts consist of working girl profiles, life lessons, workouts, and how-tos for the work place, among many others. Reading all the stories of the wonderful, successful women is definitely motivation to keep going after my dreams. What a great way to inspire all the working girls out there.
WomenWorking
This website is just so motivational, it’s great! Helene Lerner created WomenWorking under the Creative Expressions, Inc. umbrella to help professional women take their career and life to the next level. Most blog posts are exciting to read because they are about personal growth and development. Lerner even interviewed Alanis Morissette on her life experiences. This website is a great tool to have when you’re looking for advice. It’s also a plus that the WomenWorking Twitter and Facebook accounts are chalk full of inspiring quotes that often times help get me through the tough days!
With these blogs bookmarked on my browser, I feel like I can conquer the world! Although these are just some amazing career blogs and websites I have found in the past few weeks, I absolutely cannot wait to find more! What motivational or advice websites do you like to browse?
